1. General provisions

These Terms of Use govern the use of the AURA Smart Home website and services. By using the website, you accept these Terms.

2. Description of the service

AURA Smart Home is a smart-home system that operates in the customer's home and consists of:

AURA hub software
AURA mobile application
device integrations
installation and configuration services
software use under a subscription or lifetime licence

3. Software licence

The AURA software licence is available under the following conditions:

The licence is non-transferable and applies to one household or site.
The 1-year or 2-year subscription includes updates and support for the purchased period.
After the subscription expires, core operation continues: connected devices, scenes and automations remain available locally. Updates, remote access, remote assistance and adding new integrations or devices are paused until renewal.
AURA Lifetime is a one-time purchase that also includes the AURA Box.
The licence applies to the device-count tier purchased.
The software runs on a device located at the customer's premises. The system may communicate with the provider's server for licence validation, updates and remote support.
The software and its documentation are the provider's intellectual property. Copying, reselling, modifying, reverse engineering or bypassing licence checks is prohibited unless expressly permitted by law.
The licence is tied to the AURA Box on which it is activated. If the device is replaced or repaired, the provider will transfer the licence to the replacement device free of charge.
The AURA Box includes open-source components, such as Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and matter.js, and optional add-ons such as Music Assistant, Frigate, evcc, Grocy, Radicale and Mealie. These components are governed by their own open-source licences and are not subject to the restrictions above. A list of components, licences and source-code availability can be requested at info@myaura.hu.
If you connect AURA devices to a third-party service, such as Apple Home, Google Home or Amazon Alexa, that service's own terms apply; the provider is not responsible for the third-party service.

4. Prices and payment

Prices shown on the website are final gross prices. The one-time AURA Box fee is payable separately with 1-year and 2-year subscriptions. AURA Lifetime includes the AURA Box. Plans do not include smart devices or installation work. Installation and configuration are quoted individually.

5. Warranty and support

The installed system is covered by a 30-day full warranty. Software updates are included at no additional charge during the subscription period and, for AURA Lifetime, during the first 24 months and any active AURA Care period. Email support is available on business days. Remote support takes place only with the user's explicit approval in the app and is time-limited.

6. Intellectual property

The website and all AURA software content are the intellectual property of AURA Smart Home. This includes text, graphics, logos, software code, design and architecture. Copying, distributing or using these materials without written permission is prohibited.

7. Limitation of liability

AURA Smart Home is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of smart-home devices, availability of integrations that depend on manufacturer accounts, the quality of the internet connection or the stability of the local network. The website is provided “as is”, and its content is for information purposes.

8. Withdrawal and refunds

Under consumer-protection rules, a consumer has a 14-day right of withdrawal after purchasing a software licence if the service has not yet been performed. If performance has begun at the consumer's request, the right of withdrawal is governed by applicable statutory conditions, and a fee proportionate to the service already performed may be due.

9. Privacy

Information about personal data processing is provided in the website privacy policy and the app privacy notice, as applicable.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to amend these Terms. Changes will be published on this page. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve it by consultation. If this is unsuccessful, the competent Hungarian court will have jurisdiction.
